ID checks before work starts
Every worker's ID is checked before they can start a job. This confirms who they are. It is not a police or background check.
Your money is held until the work is done
The pay is held in escrow, secured by EscrowPay, when you hire. The worker is paid when you confirm the work. If you say nothing for 48 hours after they mark it done, the payment is released by itself, so report a problem within those 48 hours.
Contact details stay private
Phone numbers and addresses show only once an offer is accepted. Chat messages that try to take the job off Gikswork are hidden from the other person.
Ratings both ways
Employers rate workers and workers rate employers, from 1 to 6, so everyone can see how people behave.
