Sign up free and show your work. When you are picked for a job, you check your ID once with your NIN or BVN and your date of birth. There is no selfie.

Some trades also ask for papers, such as a certificate or a letter from the person who trained you. Work inside people's homes also asks for a guarantor and a next of kin.
