How is materials money paid?

The employer keeps money for the job in their wallet as usual. When the worker sends the materials list and the employer approves it, the materials money goes straight to the worker's bank account, so they can buy what is needed. If the list is approved before the worker arrives, the money goes once the employer confirms the worker's before photo, which shows they are there.

Once materials money is sent, it is final: it is the worker's to buy the agreed items, and it is not returned at the end of the job. Check the list carefully before you approve it. Materials money does not have the ₦10,000 minimum, and the employer pays ₦100 on top of each send, so the worker gets the full amount.

Workers: the money waits until you have checked your NIN or BVN and added a bank account in your own name.

STEP BY STEP

  1. Step 1: The worker adds the items and prices on the job page and sends the list.

  2. Step 2: The employer checks the list and taps Approve. They are asked once more, because sent money is final.

  3. Step 3: The money goes to the worker's bank. The job page shows it as sent.
