Why must I verify my ID to post a big job?

Before a job above ₦50,000 (all the pay and materials money for every place, our current setting), we check that the employer is real. Professionals travel and spend time on big jobs, and this protects them from fake orders. An offer that lifts a job above that amount needs it too.

You do it once. It is your NIN or BVN and date of birth, checked through EscrowPay, with no selfie. Your ID details are never kept by Gikswork.

STEP BY STEP

   Step 1: When you post or send an offer above the limit, you are taken to Check your ID, once.

   Step 2: Pick NIN or BVN, and type the number and your date of birth.

   Step 3: Add your bank account, in your own name. The name on your ID must match your account.

   Step 4: Tap Check and continue. Once it passes, you go back to posting your job.
