How do I ask for a raise during a job?

On a one-off job that is on, open the job and tap Ask for a raise under Pay for the work. Type the new pay and why, and tap Send. The employer approves or declines. If they approve, the extra is held in escrow from their wallet. Pay never goes down this way.

When the materials grow and your pay falls below 5% of the materials money, the app tells you that you may ask. It is your choice. Do not put phone numbers or other contact details in the note. Any extra paid outside the app loses your protection, and Gikswork is not responsible for it.
